WINTER KALOKAGATIA 2019
In the cross-country skiing area, on the ski slope Interski and at the ice stadium in Poprad, the 9th Winter Kalokagatia 2019 - sports competitions of elementary school pupils from all over Slovakia will take place. In addition to traditional sport disciplines as cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, biathlon and snowboarding, 2 new sport discipline have been included in the program. Acrobatic skiing and ringband - hockey with a ball on a hockey slider.
Part of Winter Kalokagatia is a cultural art and photographic competition - with the topics "I love winter sports" and "My sport, my motivation". For the photo contest, the topic was "Kalokagatia - focus on sport, culture and art in symbiosis with man and nature".
The Vernissage and results of the art and photography competition will be announced at the Hunting Hall of the Hotel Patria Štrbské Pleso on March 13, 2019 at 11:00 am.
Winter Kalokagatia took place eight times - in 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2015 and 2017. In 2017 Strbske Pleso took part in a record number of competing children from 96 schools from all over Slovakia.

7:30 - 9:30 am Presentation (cross-country skiing area, STAN) taking over of starting numbers for 1st day competition - on sport spots
10:00 am Opening ceremony (Strbske Pleso Amphitheater)
11:30 am Competitions (downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, biathlon and free style skiing discipline)
(11:30 am - 3:00 pm Lunch)
4:00 pm Announcement of results on Day 1
6:00 pm Evening cross-country skiing by artificial lighting (cross-country skiing area)
6:00 to 9:00 pm Dinner and accommodation
